Create with friends – Colour Combo May Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo May Blog Hop. This month’s colors are – Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness and Shaded Spruce. If you’re starting with me or just came from Tricia’s blog (Tricia Stamping Creation), I know you will be inspired by all the projects made by some awesome demonstrators from around the world. My project is a card using the Polished Stone Technique. I did this technique before and I love it. You can see the card here.

I used the Dark Stampin’ Blends of Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness, and Shaded Spruce.
For this technique, I “scribbled” the colors on Vellum card stock and dabbed 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (with a paint brush) onto the colors. I just love the effect.

The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set and the die-cuts are from the Stitched So Sweetly. The card base is Shaded Spruce and the die-cuts are Magenta Madness and Basic White. Added a touch of Gilded Leafing along the “borders” of the colors.

Have you tried the Polished Stone Technique? To be honest, I didn’t even know that was the name of it when I did my first card.
