Hello and welcome to the New at SU May blog hop. This month’s theme is fancy fold using the 2021-2023 In Colors. If you started with me or came from Heather’s blog, I hope you continue along to see all the fancy folds inspirations. For my fancy fold, I made a Pop-Up vase card using the Pierced Blooms dies.
The inspiration for my Pop-up vase card came from Jennifer McGuire.
I used Thick White card stock for the vase. To make the vase – you will need two pieces measured at 3 1/2 x 4 1/2. Score it at 1,2,3 and 4. Add tear and tape to the 1/2 inch side on both pieces and put together. I embossed both pieces with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder – to give an unique look.
Once you have your “vase” together, you will need to add the supports (like a box card). You will need 4 pieces that measure 1 x 3 each and score at 1/2, 1 1/2, and 2 1/2. Add tear and tape to the small sections. To add the support the base, bump one of the supports against a fold – skip one and then adhere to the next one. Do this for all 4 of them (see picture below)
For the stems, I made them by adhering two pieces of Old Olive card stock together using the adhesive sheets. I used the stem die from the Pierced blooms to cut them out. I adhered the stem to the back of the flower and covered it with a flower center.
What is a bouquet of flowers without a little card attached? The sentiment is from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set.

This will certainly bring a smile to the person who receives it. I love those textured flowers and the chicken of course is always a winner.
