Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge – Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the June 2023 Stamping INKspirations blog hop. It’s good to be hopping with this group again. The challenge for this month’s blog hop is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. This is my first time doing this type of challenge.

We are to select a row of three, whether vertical, horizontal, or diagonal, to create our project. I chose the bottom horizontal row: red, circle, and twine.

I used the Sweet Songbirds Photopolymer stamp set and Songbird Builder Punch for my card.

Using the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die-cut two circles. One in Basic White card stock and the other in Vellum card stock. On the Basic White card stock circle, I stamped the two tree branches using Pecan Pie ink, the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink, and the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink. The bird’s feet are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

For the bird, I stamped the body and wing in Real Red ink and punch it out using the Songbird Builder Punch. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I popped the wing onto the body and the bird on the Basic White card stock circle.

Now to assemble the card. I used Basic White Thick card stock for my card base. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered a piece of Daffodil Delight Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series paper to the card base.
I used a couple of Mini Glue Dots to adhere the Vellum card stock circle to the left side of the card. The other circle popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals and layered over the Vellum circle so slightly (just enough to cover the glue dots). Twine was added to the tree branch. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings Stamp set and die-cut using one of the labels dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

For the bling on my card, I used the Metallic Enamel Effects Gold. Love how it turned out. Just remember, you have to let them dry or it will smear.

I had a great time with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. It pushed me beyond my usual limits. Now to continue along our Blog hop, click on the image below to see what Leonie has made for us today.
