Hello Friends
Stampin’ Up! Glossy cardstock is back!!!. I wasn’t a demonstrator when Stampin’ Up! first had it (retired May 2013), so this is my first time using it.
There are many techniques you can do using the glossy cardstock – Wax paper resist, Polished Stone and Versamark Resist, just to name a few.
I used the Wax Paper Resist for the card I made. It is a fun and easy technique to do.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Beautiful You and Ribbon of Courage
Cardstock: Peek-a-boo Peach, Glossy, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Ink: Peek-a-boo Peach, Archival Black
Misc: Petal Burst embossing folder, wax paper, iron, copy paper, snail adhesive,
stampin dimensionals
Measurements:
Peek-a-boo Peach (8 1/2 x 11 – scored at 4 1/4)
Glossy Cardstock (4 x 5 1/4)
Calypso Coral (one at 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 and one at 1 3/4 x 1 3/4)
Whisper White (one at 3 x 3 and one at 1 5/8 x 1 5/8)
Instructions:
Score Peek-a-boo Peach cardstock at 4 1/4 and set aside
Cut the wax paper slightly bigger than the glossy cardstock, place in embossing folder and run thru the Big Shot.
Have the iron setting on hot with NO steam and create a “sandwich” (copy paper, glossy cardstock shiney side up, wax paper, copy paper)
Place the “sandwich” on your ironing board and iron with slow even strokes. Let cool.
Ink up your brayer with Peek-a-boo Peach ink and apply to the glossy cardstock. Wipe off excess with a paper towel. Adhere to card base
Using black archival ink, stamp the lady and sentiment on the Whisper White and adhere to Calypso Coral
Adhere the mats (I used stampin dimensionals to pop up the sentiment).
****Special Note: instead of using an embossing folder, wad up the wax paper****
I hope you give this technique a try. All supplies used are listed below.
