Colour Combo Blog Hop – November 2020

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo November Blog Hop. Stampin Up demonstrators from around the world will share with you their projects using this month’s color combinations which are: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Rococo Rose. I made two cards using the Scrappy Strip Technique (inspired by Bruno Bertucci).

I have wanted to try the Scrappy Strip technique since I saw the video that Bruno Bertucci had done. It is a great way to use up your scraps.

You will need to cut the strips as shown in the image below. No particular size but you need to cut them at an angle.

Once I got all the strips cut out, I start adhering them (with the Multipurpose Liquid glue) to Basic Black card stock measuring 3 3/4 x 5.
Once all the strips are adhered, flip the panel over and cut off the excess.
This panel was then adhered to Basic Black card stock measuring 4 x 5 1/4.

For the card bases, I choose Coastal Cabana (first card) and Rococo Rose (second card). The sentiments are from the stamp set Band Together.
Tailored Tag punch and Story Label punch was used to punch out the sentiments and the Daffodil Delight card stock.
I cut the Daffodil Delight punched shape in half and adhered it to the back of the sentiment.
Now every card needs bling….For the Coastal Cabana I used the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. For the Rococo Rose – I colored the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend.
