Hello and welcome to the January 2023 Stamp “N Hop blog hop. We are paper crafters who love to share our passion for creating with you. Today we will be sharing inspiration using products from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. For my card, I choose the Adorable Owls stamp set.
What is Sale-a-bration? Sale-a-bration happens once a year where you can earn free products. Depending upon the amount you spend ($50 – $100 before taxes and shipping), you’ll be able to mix and match items you can earn from a stunning variety of stamp sets or designer series paper.
Now onto my card.
I paired the Adorable Owls stamp set with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. This paper is part of the Country Lane Suite. Isn’t this paper beautiful?
For the card base, I used Thick Basic White card stock.
Using Multi-purpose liquid glue, I adhered a panel of Petal Pink to the card base. For the designer series paper, I needed a piece that measures 5 1/4 x 4 inches. I then cut the designer series paper at 5 x 2 1/4 – this would be the top piece. The other piece measuring 5 x 1 3/4 is for the bottom section (I flipped it over to use the other side). To cover the seam, I used the ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Combo pack.
I die-cut a piece of Basic White card stock scrap using a square die from the Stylish Shape Dies. I stamped the owl in Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Stampin Blends. I used the Crumb Cake Combo for his body, dark Pumpkin Pie for his beak and feet, and Balmy Blue for his eyes. I think he turned out really cute. I adhered the owl panel to the Sweet Sorbet card stock which I popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Country Bouquet Punch, I punched out two hearts and adhered them to the Basic White.
The sentiment is from the Country Bouquet stamp set. It is inked in Sweet Sorbet and die-cut using the label die from also the Stylish Shapes Dies. I used the small heart stamp and stamped it in Petal Pink.
The Adorable Owls stamp set is free with a qualifying $50.00 order. It is available only until February 28th or while supplies last. So don’t delay and get yours soon.
I do hope I have inspired you to make a similar card. Now to continue along the blog hop, click on the next image to see what Cheryl has made for us today.
