Hello, my stamping friends. Today I am hopping with the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop group. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love to share our passion for paper crafting. Today’s blog hop theme is a Z-fold card.
There are many variations of making this style card. I decided to make a “book fold z-fold style card”. I was inspired by a couple of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators on Pinterest.
I used the Hot Air Balloon Stamp and Die Bundle and the Lighter than Air Designer Series Paper for my card.
Prior to creating my card, I die-cut out all the die-cuts using Basic White card stock. These die-cuts will be kept the dies so I know I have all the dies when I put them away.
I then die-cut the die-cuts again in scraps of card stock. I used these die-cuts to plan the layout of my card and future cards.
For the card base, I used Petal Pink card stock. I choose three different designs from the Designer Series Paper. The hot air balloon was stamped in Lemon Lolly ink.
Top view of my card.
Card Measurements:
Card base: 4 1/4 x 11 – scored at 2 1/8, 4 1/4, and 5 1/2
Front panel: 4 1/4 x 3 1/4
DSP: 1 x 4, 2 x 4, and 3 x 4
Basic White: 2 x 4
To create the book fold:
Fold the card stock in half. Apply adhesive in the space between the 5 1/2 and 4 1/4 score lines.
I do hope I inspired you to create this Z-Fold. To see what my fellow friends have made, click on the Next Blog.
