Hello, my stamping friends and welcome to my blog. It’s day two of the 30-day Christmas card-making challenge and the challenge is called In the snow. I am really going to try my hardest to do all 30 days. Click here to see my card for the day-one challenge which was called Something red.
I decided to make a card/gift card holder using the Storybook Gnomes designer series paper. I don’t know about you, but I love gnomes and just recently started to collect them. My favorite gnomes are handmade and they are beautiful. This is my latest gnome – A Pittsburgh Steeler gnome of course. Isn’t he cute?
Okay back to my card/gift card holder. As I said, I used the Storybook Gnomes designer series paper. I love this paper and I must make sure to order more before the Jul – Jan mini catalog retires.
The card base is Pacific Point. The paper I selected from the pack of designer series paper for the front focal point, has small snowflakes. For the side panel, I used the paper I call the Christmas snow scene. This paper is perfect for today’s challenge. What do you think?
I die-cut the gnome from the DSP and adhered him to a Wonderful Snowflake and then popped that up using a Stampin’ dimensional. The sentiment is from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set which I die-cut using the Stylish Shaped Dies.
For the inside, I added another piece of the Christmas snow scene DSP to the left side panel.
The inside sentiment is also from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set.
Card measurements and other info
Card base – 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 inches
DSP: Front – 3 1/4 x 4 inside left panel and right panel – 1 1/4 x 5 1/4
Basic White – 3 1/4 x 4
Special note: adhere the DSP to the inside left panel and punch a half circle using a circle punch prior to gluing down the panel.
.
Day three challenge is Warm & Cozy – hmmm wonder what I can make for that?
