Hello and thank you for stopping by. I’ve always liked gnomes but didn’t start collecting them till recently. So when I saw the Storybook Gnomes suite in Jul – Dec 2022 Mini catalog (pages 41 – 43), I just knew I had to get it. The suite collection includes one of each: Kindest Gnomes Bundle, Balmy Blue & White 3/8 double-stitched ribbon, Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems, Snowfall Accents Puff Paint (a returning favorite), and the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper.
My card doesn’t have a lot of stamping (just the sentiment). I used images from the designer series paper, a couple of die-cuts, and blending.
If you notice on the DSP, some of the houses are at the edge. Don’t throw them away. Depending on your card design, they can be used. The Gnome dies die-cut the stamped images and some of the images in the designer series paper, which I love for I am not that fond of fussy-cutting.
How I assembled my card:
Using Blending Brushes, on a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White card stock, I blended Old Olive for the grass and Pacific Point for the sky.
I die-cut the houses and the gnome from the DSP (did a little trimming around the sides of the houses).
Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered the two mushroom houses’ “edges” for each side.
To give the “full” mushroom house and the gnome a little bit more sturdiness, I die-cut both the shapes in Basic White card stock and adhered them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Both of the images popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The clouds are die-cut in Basic White card stock using the dies from the Give It a Whirl Dies.
The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set. This stamp set is a must-have in your collection. It includes three different sizes and fonts of your most stamped greetings—Thinking of You, Just a Note, Thank You, and Happy Birthday. (And the smallest size has a bonus message—Hello!)
The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and fussy cut the sentiment out (didn’t I just say that I didn’t like fussy cutting that much?).
I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the panel and adhered to the card base – which is Thick Basic White card stock.
Again thank you for stopping by and I do hope I have inspired you to make a card using the Kindest Gnomes Bundle or possibly the whole suite. Now stay tuned for this coming week, I will be showcasing two more projects using the Storybook Gnomes suite.
