Hello and thank you for stopping by today. I have seen some awesome cards where people have made their own designer series paper using various stamps and inks. Well, I thought I give it a try in creating designer series paper of my own using the Bottled Happiness stamp set.
The colors used are Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, and Crumb Cake.
First, I stamped the leaf image in Shaded Spruce on the far left side of the Basic White cardstock and worked my way all the way to the right. For the floral image, I used Mango Melody ink.
Once I got the middle done, I went from top to bottom and then the corners. Using Crumb Cake for the stalk of leaves. I think it turned out pretty good.
Once I was done, I cut the sheet into four sections to make cards.
Now here are the cards I made. My first card is a three-panel card. For the card base, I used Shaded Spruce cardstock. I cut the panel into 3 strips that measure 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 each. For the die-cuts, the Mango Melody die-cut is from the Painted Label Dies and the Basic White die-cut is from Stylish Shapes Dies. The ribbon is Shaded Spruce/Gold (retired) and the sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
For my second card, I cut the card base at 7 1/4 x 5 1/2 and scored at 3 inches. The panel used was cut into two pieces measuring 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 and 1 x 5 1/4. The sentiment is from the Eden’s Garden stamp set and die-cut using the largest Stylish Shapes label die. Using the same die, I die-cut another label in Mango Melody and cut it in half. Then adhered to the back using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Popped the sentiment up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For my last card, the card base is Thick Basic White cardstock. The card stock panels are Shaded Spruce and Mango Melody. The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set. The die-cuts are from the Hippo & Friends Dies (retired). I didn’t have any Crumb Cake ribbon, so I used the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to color the Whisper White Organza Ribbon (retired).
I haven’t made a card with the fourth panel, will save that one for later.
I do hope you like my cards and you are encouraged to creating designer series paper of your own. I will probably be making more later on in the future.
