Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. If you are starting with me or just came from Mo Rootes blog hop, I know you will be inspired by all the awesome projects showcased here today. The theme for the blog hop is Christmas in July and for my project I am showcasing the Stars Treat Bags.
When I saw these bags in the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog, I immediatley thought of a luminary. You get 10 bags, that measure 3.5 x 5.25 and they are food safe.

To embellish the bag, I used the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle and Sweetest Christmas designer series paper.

I die-cut the candy canes using the candy cane die (there are two of them so you can have the candy canes facing to the left or right) from the designer series paper. To give them some shine, I added Versamark and embossed with Clear embossing paper. I adhered the die-cut candy canes to Basic White card stock for added strength.

To make the double bow, I used my Bow Maker (be lost without it). The bow was adhered by using Mini-Glue Dots. I adhered the candy canes to Vellum card stock. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink onto a Stylish Shape Dies. I added some leaves that were stamped in Garden Green Ink.

How the bag looks in the dark. Looks very pretty – don’t you think?
I used an battery operated tea light.

I do hope I inspired you with my Christmas in July project. To show that you can use the Stars Treat Bags for other purposes other than treats. To continue along the blog hop, click on the next blog to see what my friend Kelly has made for us today. I know it is awesome.
