Hello and welcome to the first Stamping with Friends blog hop of the year. There are eighteen fantastic design members (some of them are hopping with us for the first time) for you to hop thru today and I do hope you find a lot of inspiration. The theme for our first blog hop is a sketch challenge.
The sketch that we are using for the challenge is from Freshly Made Sketches #95. I don’t know about you, but I love to use sketches. They are great for inspiration especially is when I feel like I lost my crafting mojo.

I decided to make Valentine’s card using the new bundle from the Jan – Jun Mini Catalog called Sweet Conversations. I am not much of a Valentine person, but I couldn’t resist this bundle.

I used Thick Whisper White Card Stock (retired) for the card base and used Blushing Bride and Real Red Card stock for the panels.

I used the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper. I ordered one pack and I know I will be ordering more of it.
The coordinating colors are
Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Real Red, and So Saffron.

I adhered the designer series paper to Blushing Bride Card stock. I fussy cut the hearts out of the DSP, even tho the dies in the set can die cut them out. I colored the Whisper White Sheer Ribbon (retired) using the Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend. The hearts are popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Highland Heather card stock was used for the small envelope and the hearts are negatives from the die that cut three hearts out.

For the inside, I adhered a small strip of the designer series paper at the bottom.

And don’t forget to decorate the envelope. I stamped the heart in Real Red ink and adhered the DSP to the flap.

Card measurements:
Card Base: 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Blushing Bride Panel: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, 2 1/8 x 4 3/4, 2 x 3 3/4 , 1 3/4 x 2 3/4
Real Red Panel: 4 x 5 1/4
Basic White 1 5/8 x 2 5/8
DSP: 2 x 4 5/8, 1 5/8 x 3 5/8,
I do hope you are inspired by my card. Now onto Rachael’s blog and I know you will be inspired by her.
