Hello, my stamping friends. It’s the first Saturday of the month so that means it’s time for the Stamping with Friends blog hop. I love hopping with these lovely ladies – they share so much inspiration. The blog hop theme for today is Simple Stamping.
Simple Stamping is creating easy-to-make projects -using ink, stamps, and paper. Also to me is going back to basics.
I decided to use the Watercolor Shapes Stamp set. This stamp set is a distinctive style stamp set. You can use all the stamps or just one or two to create an awesome background for your card. And depending on the colors you use, the possibilities are endless.
The colors I have chosen are Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sorbet, and Real Red. Now I am going, to be honest, the first card I made I used Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Fresh Fressia. Great colors but I just couldn’t finish it because I am not a fan of purple (it’s a football thing).
I stamped the large circle in both Real Red and Sweet Sorbet. For the small circles, I used all three colors and stamped off on a couple. The splatter came from the stamp set Curvy Christmas.
Along with the Simple Stamping, we are also to add a punch element. I punched out the Real Red card stock and Basic White card stock using the Double Oval Punch. The sentiment is from the Through It Together Stamp Set.
I do hope you will try some simple stamping. Now to continue along the blog hop, click on the next button to see what Melva Peters has made.
