Retiring Annual/Mini Catalog – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today. I am hopping with some fabulous and talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. The challenge for today’s blog hop is the Retiring Annual/Mini Catalog. Yes, it’s that time of the year to say goodbye to some of our favorite items.

For my card, I choose two products that are retiring – the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Mango Melody card stock. My heart broke when I saw these items on the list.

My card base is Cajun Craze which I adhered two panels – Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody.
I heat-embossed the sunflower images on the Mango Melody card stock.
I stamped the large sunflower stamp in VersaMark™ ink in two corners and then in the small spaces left. I covered the images with White Stampin’ Emboss™ powder and heat embossed using my Heating Tool.

Using my paper trimmer, I cut the Mango Melody card stock in half, both lengthwise and heightwise. I popped each panel up using Stampin’ Dimensional™. Tip for you: make sure your images are lined up correctly prior to pressing everything into place.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink and cut it out using my paper snips (still need more practice in fussy cutting…lol). I also popped up the sentiment using the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Card Measurements:

• Card base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
• First Panel – 5 1/4 x 4
• Second Panel – 5 x 3 3/4 – cut at 1 7/8 and then each panel at 2 1/2 (after you have embossed your image).
