National Doctor’s Day – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends. Welcome to my blog and the Stamping with Friends March / April blog hop. My friends and I will be sharing inspiration from the National Calendar Days (US and International). I have done two days – the first is for National Doctor’s Day which is March 30th.

I have two wonderful doctors, my primary and my rheumatologist. Wouldn’t change them for the world.

I created a card using dies from the Suit & Tie Dies set (part of the Handsomely Suited Bundle).
The card base and the sweater collar made from Misty Moonlight and the doctor’s jacket is made from Basic White card stock. The awesome sweater is made from the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper.

To make the stethoscope, I used the largest and next to largest regular layering circles (which are retiring). I cut the circle in half and layered on the card where I want them. Used the 1″ and 3/4 inch circle punches for the end part. Now for the “ears” of the stethoscope – I had a time figuring out how to make them. I ended up using the middle stitched oval and a regular oval to create a frame. I then cut some of it off and used retired black gems for the ear piece.

This style card would be awesome to thank all the doctors on National Doctor’s Day for all they do.
