Can you believe it will be Thanksgiving in a couple of days? Christmas is right around the corner!!!
My how this year has flown by.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Decorating the house and the tree and enjoy all the great smells of the season. I have two new kittens, Rajah and Creme. I just hope my Christmas tree will survive their curiosity.
I like to decorate my tree with candy canes. Stampin’ Up! came out with an awesome Designer Series Paper called Candy Cane Lane. The colors – Real Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Whisper White are just perfect together.
One of my favorite fancy fold card to make the is Z fold. It is fun, versatile and easy to make.
This card has a small flap creating the Z fold.
***Supplies***
Card stock:
Early Espresso 8.5 x 5.5 (score at 1.25 and 4.25)
Crumb Cake 3 3/4 x 5 3/8 (inside panel)
Scrap for layers and stamping
Designer Series Paper:
2 7/8 x 5 3/8 (front panel)
1 3/8 x 5 3/8 (inside right panel)
***Directions***
Score the Early Espresso card stock at 1.25 and 4.25. Burnish the score lines. Fold the 1.25 section to the left to create the “Z” fold.
I adhered the Crumb Cake card stock to the inside (since I a dark card base) to stamp a sentiment. Then I adhered the 1 3/8 x 5 3/8 DSP to the right side of the panel.
The square panels were cut out using the Layering Squares Framelits dies and a new product, the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. The stamped sentiment is from the Tin of Tags stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting.
