Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends January Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ UP! demonstrators from around the world sharing our love for paper crafting. This month’s theme is “What is old is new again”. Yes, the challenge is to recreate an old project using new Stampin’ Up! projects.
I recreated an Impossible card I made for a color combination challenge on June 18, 2022. Here is the card I originally made.
I used the Stippled Roses Cling Stamp Set Bundle and the free Sale-a-bration Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper for my card. This stamp set’s generous stippled detail will help you create some beautiful cards, scrapbooks, or tags.
I started with a piece of Pebbled Path card stock that measures 5 1/2 and 4 1/4 and scored it at 2 1/8 inches. Then proceed to cut it at 4 3/8 (to the scoreline) and again at 1 1/8th (again to the scoreline). Flip the card stock and cut at 2 3/4 (to the scoreline).
For the Designer Series Paper – it is cut at 3 5/8 x 4 1/8. I lined it up on the one-inch on my trimmer and cut it down to 2 inches. Rotated the paper and repeated the step. Then I lined it up on the two-inch, and cut in between the cuts. You will notice one piece might be bigger than the other. Just align that piece up at the two-inch line and recut. Before adhering the Designer Series Paper, you will need to flip the right side back (that’s the magic of the impossible card).
For the flowers, I stamped them in Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored them with Calypso Coral Combo Blending pens. Popped them up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the bridge, I die-cut flowers in Calypso Coral and added Rhinestone Basic Pearls to the centers. Did you notice they match the card stock? I colored them using the Dark Calypso Coral Blends.
Here is the template for this card:
