Hello and welcome to the June Stamp ‘N Hop. So glad that you have joined us. If you are starting with me or just came from Gez’s blog, I hope you will be inspired by our projects today. The theme for the blog hop is Designer Series Paper. Now, who doesn’t love Designer Series Paper?
With all the beautiful Designer Series Papers that I have in my collection (stash), I chose to use the Awash In Beauty DSP. The DSP has floral images that appear to be hand-painted in stunning watercolor hues. The coordinating colors are Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Polished Pink, and So Saffron. Isn’t it gorgeous?
For my first two cards, I was inspired by Tracey Bradley. I love how simple yet elegant they are.
For the panel, I used Blushing Bride card stock. All sentiments are from the Pansy Patch stamp set and die-cut using the Stylish Shapes.
For my second card, I used Merry Merlot card stock for the panel.
For my next two cards, I cut a sheet of the Designer Series Paper in half and then cut it down for the card size. Stamped the sentiment right onto the paper and added some bling and viola two awesome cards.
For the card below, I added Wink of Stella to a couple of the petals and added Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the centers of the two large flowers.
Card Measurements
Top two cards:
Thick Basic White: 11 x 4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2
Card stock Panel: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
DSP: 4 1/4 x 3 1/4
Bottom Cards:
Thick Basic White: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Card stock Panel: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
DSP: 4 x 5 1/4
I do hope I inspired you to use your designer series paper to make simple but elegant cards. Now to continue along the June Stamp ‘N Hop, click on the image below to see what Karen has made. I know it is awesome.
