Hello and welcome to my blog. For the next couple of days or so, I will be showcasing the Tea Boutique Suite Collection from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.
Now I am from the UK (been here in the States since I was a child) and don’t drink tea unless I am sick. Yeah, my Nana wasn’t too thrilled that I wasn’t raised in the British tradition. But I think she would have loved this new suite from Stampin’ Up!.
“This suite collection has what you need to create tea for two (or more): stamps for stamping teacups, tea bags, and sentiments; patterned paper with teapots, teacups, and florals; dies to cut out stamped images or accent pieces; and coordinating cards and envelopes.”
I decided to make cards using three new In-Colors – Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, and Orchid Oasis. Which new In-color is your favorite?
I used the card bases from the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes. You get 20 card bases and 20 envelopes in the pack. These card bases make it easy to make cards – you can keep them simple or embellish them as you like.
For all my cards, I die-cut a “tray” in Very Vanilla cardstock using the new Fabulous Frames Dies.
Now to pretty up the trays, I used various papers from the Tea Boutique designer series paper.
Now you should also have a napkin when serving tea, so I cut a paper Dollie in half and folded it into a triangle. My first card is made using the Sweet Sorbet card base. I die-cut the teacup base in Basic White and the floral image in Sweet Sorbet card stock. Added a teabag and used the new Baker’s Twine for my bow.
My second card uses the Parakeet Party card base. For this teacup, I used Garden Green for the base and Basic White for the floral image. The lemons were die-cut in Crushed Curry (tip: To create a darker color of the card stock – I ran the Crushed Curry ink pad over it).
My last card uses the Orchid Oasis card base. I really like this color. I stamped the cup image with Orchid Oasis ink onto Basic White card stock and die-cut it out using the solid die. I stamped floral images on the “napkin” to fancy it up a little.
So I think I would have made my Nana proud of how I have “served” tea on my three cards. Stay tuned for another post tomorrow as I continue my series of “Care for a Cuppa”. I will be showcasing two cards using the Faux Step Card technique.
