Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations February Blog Hop. If you started with me and or came from Teri’s blog, I know you will find some great inspiration here. This month’s theme is a Color Challenge.
The colors for this challenge are:
Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green and, Bumble Bee.
I used all the colors except Bumble Bee.
I needed a card for a co-worker who just had another knee replacement surgery. I have some beautiful floral stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and I choose a stamp set that I haven’t used in a while – Timeless Tulips.
I love that this stamp set includes a variety of greetings to celebrate Mother’s Day, birthdays, Easter, and spring and to create sympathy and get-well cards. This is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images.
I find it easy for me to stamp the stems and leaves first and then a flower. The two small flowers were stamped small flowers in Polished Pink and the medium flower in Fresh Freesia and used Garden Green for the stems and leaves.
I stamped another large flower in Fresh Freesia and punched it out using the Tulip Builder Punch and popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This panel was adhered to a Crumb Cake panel which I then adhered it to Polished Pink Card Base. Stamped the sentiment on Basic White Card Stock and adhered it to Blushing Bride Card Stock.
I know this is a Distinktive stamp set (it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images), but I used Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Write markers to give it a little bit more details.
For the inside, I stamped another small flower image.
I hope you are inspired by my card. I do hope my friend will like it and it brings her a smile during her recovery. Now let’s see what Marieke has made for the Color Challenge today. I know it is awesome.
