Hello and welcome to my blog today. I am happy that you stopped by. I am always looking for new card folds to make and I came across a unique one. It’s an original design by Iced Images. She calls it a Suspended Book Fold Card.
The card she made measures 5 x 7 but I wanted to try to make it A2 size. So after a few tries, I finally came up with the measurements for my card.
I used the designer series paper called Sweet Stockings – I just love this paper. Also used the Sweet Little Stockings Bundle.
Here are two side views of my card…now you see why it is called a Suspended Book Fold. Isn’t this awesome?
I was going to put the paper with the Golden Retriever (I think?) on the front, but I didn’t want to cut him in half.
The card stock used for this card is Evening Evergreen, Bumblebee, and Old Olive.
Now one thing I did, which I thought I would never do is I cut the sentiment stamp in half. What was I thinking? But I liked how it turned out. Have you ever cut a stamp in half?
I popped the sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and colored the stocking with Stampin’ Blends.
I already have a special request for my next card – putting wallet size photos on the front. I think that is an awesome idea. I will make sure to post it so you can see what it looks like.
