Say hello to a world of colorful creativity with the new Stampin’ Blends – a premier alcohol marker from Stampin’ Up. They are dual-tip high quality marker – brush tip for larger areas and fine tip for details.
Now I will admit that I am not that great at blending but these markers make it so easy and fun.
For today’s card (which was inspired by Sarah Fleming), I used the small flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on whisper white cardstock ( measures 2 /24 x 5 1/2).
Three Stampin’ Blends were used to color the leaves – Daffodil Delight (Dark) and Old Olive (light and dark).
Daffodil Delight was used for the center of the leaf. Dark Old Olive to outline the leaf and colored the rest of the leaf in light Old Olive.
For the petals, I used Calypso Coral (dark and light), Pink Pirouette (light) and Daffodil Delight (dark). I outlined the bottom petal in the dark Calypso Coral and added a small amount of Pink Pirouette, then colored in with the light Calypso Coral.
For the upper petal – I used the Daffodil Delight (dark) for the stamen, added a small amount of Pink Pirouette (light) and colored in with the Calypso Coral (light). Wink of Stella was added to the stamen to give in that extra “wow” factor.
Here’s a tip about the Stampin’ Blends – you can use them to color the Pearl Basic Jewels.
I really love how this card turned out.
The Stampin’ Blends will be available for purchase starting November 1st.
