Monochrome Card Challenge – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello, my stamping friends and welcome to the Stamping with Friends blog hop. I am so happy that you have joined us today. Today’s blog hop theme is a Monochrome Card Challenge. With all the talent here from the design team, I know you will be inspired.

I used the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle and the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper. Special Note: The Simply Marbleous DSP is a FREE Sale-a-bration item (with qualifying purchase) until February 28th or while supplies last.

The color I rarely use is Gorgeous Grape (or any purple color – it’s a football thing for me). I used the colors Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather, and Purple Posy (retired).

Gorgeous Grape is for the card base. The first panel is Blackberry Bliss. The next panel is the awesome Simply Marbleous designer series paper.
The tree silhouette is stamped in Gorgeous Grape on Basic White card stock. This panel is adhered to Highland Heather. For the die-cuts, I used Gorgeous Grape for the outline and Purple Posy for the word thanks.

Now onto my second card. The card base is Bumblebee with the first panel being Mango Melody. The next panel is the designer series paper (colors Bumblebee and So Saffron).
The tree silhouette is stamped in Bumblebee on Basic White card stock. This panel is adhered to So Saffron. For the die-cuts, I used Bumblee for the outline and Pumpkin Pie for the words.

I hope I have inspired you to make a Monochrome card in a color you rarely use. I just might use the “purple” color group a little bit more.
