May Ink Stamp Share Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog..so happy that you are here. It’s time for the May Ink Stamp Share Showcase Blog Hop. We showcasing what we’ve been working on. This past week, I’ve been working on a card series I called “Care for a Cuppa” using the Cup of Tea Bundle. I love this bundle.

For my card, I used a sheet of the designer series paper. Isn’t this paper just gorgeous? I know I will be adding more packs to my collection.

For the teacup, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to try a new to me technique called the whitewash technique. I have heard of it but never tried it.

Here is how I embellished the teacup. I stamped the image in Versamark ink and die-cut it. Then I embossed it with gold embossing powder. For the whitewash technique, I dropped a couple of drops of the Whisper White ink refill onto a clear envelope and add a little bit of water. Using a blender brush, I applied it to the stems of the leaf. I love how it turned out.

The sentiment “Hey, there” is from the stamp set called Charming Sentiments. I love that this is a sentiment-only stamp set and best of all, there are dies available to die-cut them out. This set was designed with the help of Million Sales Achiever Lisa Curcio.
