Easter / Spring – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome my friends to the Stamping with Friends blog hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love to share with you our projects to spark your creativity.
Today the Stamping with Friends team will be showcasing ideas of Easter / Spring.

So for my card, I used my favorite designer series paper from the Jan – Jun Mini Catalog – Flowering Fields. I can’t get enough of this paper. It just speaks spring. What do you think? Now onto my card…

My card is called an Angled Tri-Fold card. It looks hard but it is easy.

I used Poppy Parade for the card base and belly band. For the inside of the card, I die-cut a tulip also in Poppy Parade. For the inside of the tulip, I colored the little bud using light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to give it a little more depth. I used a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the bud to the flower. To close the flower, I used glue dots. The stem and leaf were stamped in Pear Pizzaz.

Both sentiments used are from the Easter Friends stamp set.

Card dimensions:
Card Base: 11 x 5 1/2 scored 3 3/8 on each end
Belly Band: 9 3/4 x 3 /4
DSP: 3 1/8 x 5 1/4
To create the angles – on each side of the card base, measure 1 inch down and 1 inch in (see template).
for the DSP: same as the card base, but flip one backward (flip it over) so it can cut correctly.
