Hello and welcome to the We Create April Blog Hop. So happy that you can join us. This month’s blog hop is about Easter. I choose to use the stamp set Easter Friends from the Jan – Jun Mini Catalog.
Now I had to use the little chick or biddy image for my card. Why do you ask? I work for a poultry company – at a hatchery where we hatch the little ones. So I thought it was perfect for my card.
The card base is Evening Evergreen card stock. I also used another piece of Evening Evergreen and embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (which is retiring). I use this embossing folder a lot, so it will stay in my stash.
To make the pennant, I used Mango Melody card stock and Flowering Fields Designer series paper. This paper speaks spring..don’t you think?
I used So Saffron ink for the chick image and stamped it on Basic White card stock. For the grass, I used Pear Pizzazz ink. I die-cut the image using one of the layering circle dies and adhered it to a So Saffron scalloped die-cut circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To pop it up, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the pennant. The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I fussy cut the sentiment out (I rarely fussy cut anything) and popped it up also using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the inside of the card and envelope, I stamped the little chick in the corners.
This stamp set, Easter Friends, may stay in my stash if and when it retires. I really do like the little chick.
Well, I do hope I inspired you with my Easter card. To continue along the blog hop, click on the next image to see what Kimberley has made for us today.

Love your fuzzy little chick – you must be overwhelmed with cuteness, being around all those tiny fluffy babies at work! Thanks for hopping with us this month, and sharing your adorable card 😀
