Hello and welcome to my blog. I am hopping with the Stamping with Friends Design Team today so if you are starting with me or came from Libby’s blog, I know you will be inspired by all projects showcased today.
The theme for this blog hop is CASEing the Catty. I am CASEing the Catty with the Days to Remember Stamp set.
What does CASEing mean? I’ve heard a couple of different definitions – Copy And Sharing Everything or Copy And Selective Editing. So I am CASEing the project on page 18 of the annual catalog – the image in the lower left-hand corner.
You can create a customized calendar card and highlight that special day with the Days to remember stamp set. Not only does it scream “Celebrate!”, but it also functions as a working calendar for your journal or planning needs! Use the masking technique to appropriately stamp the days of the week above the numbered stamps to set up your own calendar. Then, highlight those important dates with a lighter colored ink and the other images in this stamp set!
My card base is Calypso Coral and the paper is from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. I inked the “dates” in Memento black ink and stamped on Basic White card stock which I adhered to Pool Party card stock. Just a reminder – all the stamps are photopolymer so that means you will need a cushion when you stamp and I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat.
The example in the catalog, the Iconic Dies was used for the floral image (which I don’t have). So instead, I used the floral die from Artistic Dies set for my floral image behind the calendar.
Now the reason why I chose the date of October 16th – It is my great-granddaughter’s second birthday. Isn’t she a cutie? I used the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker to circle the date.
