Corner Fold Card

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world sharing our love for paper crafting. Today’s blog hop challenge is using Designer Series Paper. For this challenge, I created a Corner Fold Card (also known as a Napkin Fold Card).

This style of card is a great way to showcase both sides of the Designer Series Paper, and it’s easy to create.

For my first card, I used Peach Pie for the card base. The Designer Paper used is Floral Delight. Once I folded the Designer Series Paper, I adhered it to the Peach Pie card base. A little hint – when you score the DSP, make sure the wrong side of the paper is facing up. Ask me how I know.

The sentiment panel is Old Olive Card stock. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment (from the Unbound Love Photopolymer Stamp Set) in Old Olive ink. The tree branch and the flowers are from the Wonderful Wishes Bundle. I die-cut the tree in Pecan Pie card stock and stamped the flowers in Daffodil Delight and Peach Pie ink.

Now, some Corner Fold cards are made with a quarter sheet of card stock, but I wanted mine to stand up. So I created a “tent” for it.

My second card uses new products that will be available in the upcoming September-December Mini Catalog. The bundle is called Peace on Earth, featuring the Designer Series Paper, Peaceful Garden. The card base is Secret Sea.

The inside sentiment is from the Love & Strength Cling Stamp Set.
