Ink Blending – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love to share our love of papercrafting. Today’s challenge is Ink Blending.

I haven’t done this technique in a little while. I used Cherry Cobbler, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, and Darling Duckling. Notice anything about four of the colors? They are the 2025-2027 In Colors. I must confess, I haven’t used them in a long time.

To start my card, I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler first. Why you ask? I am glad that you did. When I directly stamp the sentiment onto the card, I tend to mess it up. This way, if I mess up the sentiment, I can turn the card over and try again. I die-cut a mask using the Tile Garden dies on another piece of Basic White cardstock.

Using Blending Brushes, I started with Cherry Cobbler, then Strawberry Slush, next Timid Tiger, and finally Darling Ducking. I do love how it turned out. I stamped the Sunflower image using Memento Tuxedo ink. I added 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls.
