Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am hopping with the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop group. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who share our passion for paper crafting. The challenge for today’s blog hop is to share our Catalog Must Haves.
My must-haves are the stand-alone dies. What are stand-alone dies? Dies that don’t coordinate with a stamp set. Here are four stand-alone dies that are in my collection: Perennial Postage Dies, Nested Essential Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, and the Alphabet à la Mode Dies.

Now, other dies can stand alone, but they coordinate with a stamp set. Such as the Everyday Arch Dies, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Sentimental Framing Dies, and Textured Note Dies. There are times I purchase the dies and not the stamp set.

Okay, so now onto my card. I decided to create a birthday card. Can never have too many of them, can you? I used two dies from the Nested Essential Dies.

For the card base, I used Strawberry Slush card stock. I’m thrilled that this color is back. It was an In-Color when I joined Stampin’ Up! in 2013. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered a piece of the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper to a piece of Crushed Curry Card stock. I adhered this panel to the card base.

I die-cut the large die in Garden Green and the next-to-largest die in Basic White card stock. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Charming Day Cling Stamp set, and I stamped that in Strawberry Slush ink.
Then I stamped the flowers: the large one in Fresh Freesia ink, and the small one in Crushed Curry ink using the stamping-off technique. I adhered this to the Garden Green card stock and popped up the panel using Stamping Dimensionals. To finish my card, I added Strawberry Slush and Pretty In Pink gems, along with a bow made from Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon.
So what are your Catalog Must Haves? Please let me know in the comments. I hope I have inspired you to add these dies and other stand-alone dies to your crafting stash.

Very pretty card. Yes, I agree those dies are a must-have,
Thank you. I love stand alone dies.
Lovely card Linda, I also love stand alone dies as they are so versatile x
Thank you.
I love this card! All the layers are perfectly balanced and I just love your color combination! I always forget about the stand alone dies. I tend find the dies that go with the stamp set I used. I need to remember to use the loners!
