Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators worldwide who share our love for paper crafting. For today’s blog hop, we are showcasing kits from the Kits Collection, and I chose the By Your Side kit.
This kit features lovely cat and dog designs that you can use to make uplifting cards. Choose a dog or cat die-cut image and complete your projects with embellishments and stamped sentiment to create a card with the right message you want to share.
The kit includes:
By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set, clear stamp block, Old Olive Stampin’ Spot, predesigned projects, step-by-instructions, precut pieces, eight printed card bases and envelopes, printed die-cuts with peek-through cut-outs and die-cut labels, brushed gold adhesive back embellishments, and enough adhesive to complete the projects. Product colors: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Copper Clay, Crumb Cake, gold, Petal Pink, and Old Olive
So now, onto my card. We are to create a card per the directions and do an alternate card.
Card per directions: I stamped the sentiment on the label and stamped the paw image once on the card base and two times on the panel. Using the dimensionals provided, I popped up the panel, the cute cat, and the sentiment. I added one of the hearts to the sentiment. Isn’t this card just so adorable?
My alternate card: I had to use the adorable bloodhound- who could resist that face? Reminds of the dogs from 101 Dalamation and Fox and the Hound Disney movies. I used Copper Clay card stock for my panel. I temporarily positioned the heart panel on the Copper Clay card stock to add Versamark Ink for the hearts (I used an old Versamark pen to do this) and embossed with the WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. The designer series paper on the bottom is a strip cut off from one of the card bases. I popped up the heart panel with dimensional, glued the dog die-cut down, and popped up one side of the sentiment. I stamped the dog bone image in Copper Clay ink on the sides. Adhered this to Basic Black cardstock and onto Thick Whisper White card stock for the base.
I hope you are inspired by the original and my alternate card to create your cards using the By Your Side kit. To continue the blog hop, click on the next blog to see more fabulous inspiration.
