Birthday Cards

Hello and welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators worldwide sharing our love for paper crafting. Is it a coincidence that my birthday is on the same day as this hop and the theme is birthday cards?

For my card, I used the Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.
I’m not a big fan of the color “purple” buI couldn’t resist this beautiful Designer Series Paper.

The inspiration for my card came from cardztv.blogspot.com sketch #54.

I started with a Gorgeous Grape card base with a Pretty Peacock card stock panel. I adhered three designs of the Designer Series Paper to the Highland Heather panel.

For the flowers, I stamped them in Highland Heather, Lost Lagoon, and Gorgeous Grape ink and die-cut them using the die. The stem is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink. I adhered the stem first and layered the flowers on a piece of Basic White card stock. This panel is adhered to a Gorgeous Grape mat.

For the ribbon (retired) I colored it using the Dark Highland Heather Stampin Blends. You can’t see it too well, but I did apply Wink of Stella to the know of the ribbon. The panel is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensional™. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings Cling Stamp Set. And finally, what is a card without bling – I adhered some of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
