Hello, my crafty friends. Today I am hopping with my friends from the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop Group. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world gathered to share our love for paper crafting. This is our last blog hop for the year and the theme is Blogger’s Choice. So I am sharing my Last-Minute Christmas Cards I am making to send to family and friends.
I have a bad procrastination habit (I don’t believe I am the only one–right?). I have some Christmas cards already done but a few short for the total I need. So why not wait till the last minute to get them done and sent…
My first set of cards using the Beary Christmas (retiring) Designer Series Paper and Tradition of St. Nick Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusives).
To start, I cut the Designer Series Paper into a square that measures 4 x 4 inches. Then I cut each square into two pieces – one measuring 2 3/4 x 4 and the other measuring 1 1/4 x 4 inches. I adhere the pieces to a panel of Basic White card stock. On a couple of cards, I adhered the larger Designer Series Paper to the top, and on the others, I layered it on the bottom. The sentiment I used is from the retiring Rocking Horse Photopolymer Stamp Set.
My second set of Christmas cards – I was inspired by a sketch from Operation Write Home (OWH).
For these cards, I used Thick Basic White card stock for the base. I used Real Red card stock for the panel and embossed Balmy Blue card stock using the 3D Basics Embossing Folder. Both pieces of Designer Series Paper were adhered to Night of Navy card stock. I popped up the large image using Stampin’ Dimensional™. Again used the same sentiment from my first set of cards.
So were you inspired to make your Last-Minute Christmas cards? Well onto making some more and finally getting them in the mail on Monday. To see what my friends have made for the Blogger Choice, click on Next Blog.
