Welcome to the RemARKably Creative March Blog Hop.
The inspiration for this month’s theme is from the Party Animal Suite (2017 Occasions Catalog). It is a birthday based suite and who doesn’t love celebrating birthday’s (eating cake and ice cream with feeling guilty).
My project for the blog hop is a “Pop-Up” card (credit to fellow Stampin’ Up demonstrator Rick Adkins). Can’t wait to share this type of card in a future class.
The card front uses one of the designs from the Party Animal Designer Series Paper. The DSP contains 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. This is my favorite design – just so many presents!!! To keep in line with the colors of the DSP, the card base, strip and small scalloped circle is Pacific Point and the large scalloped circle isTangerine Tango. The sentiment is from the stamp set Balloon Adventures.
I am loving the inside of this card. The presents just “Pop-Up’ when you open it. To make the presents “sturdier”, I adhered the DSP to Whisper White card stock. The balloon stamps and sentiment is also from the Balloon Adventures stamp set. The bows are die cut using a thinlit from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies set.
Here is an up close picture of the pop-up mechanism.
