Hello and welcome to the August 2022 Stampink INKspirations Blog Hop. If you started with me or came from Mariek’s blog, I know you will be inspired. This month’s theme is Blending Technique Challenge. I haven’t done much blending in my card making. So I thought I would give this challenge a try.
For this challenge, I used the blending technique on the Perfectly Penciled designer series paper. You can use your favorite coloring medium such as watercolor paints, alcohol markers, or blending inks on this designer series paper.
For my first card, I blended two colors, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade.
Starting with Mango Melody, I blended the ink from the top and inked until about halfway down using a circular motion. Then I added Poppy Parade at the bottom overlapping just a little on the Mango Melody. With the two colors blended together, you basically get a new color. The sentiment is from Pansy Patch.
My second card uses three colors, Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, and Pumpkin Pie (got courageous with this one).
I start blending the ink from the left side of the DSP from the lightest to the darkest.
I adhered this panel to Crushed Curry card stock.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamped set stamped in Pumpkin Pie and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I do hope I have inspired you to start using the blending technique on your cards. Now onto Annette’s blog to see what she has made for us today.
