Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Stampin’ Up! August Blog Hop. I am blog hopping with Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world and I hope you will be inspired by all the projects showcased today. The colors for this month are Granite Gray, Gorgeous Grape, and Bermuda Bay. For my project, I made a Floating Card Stock card.
The Floating Card Stock card is a new technique I just learned and it makes a quick and simple card.
I choose the sentiment Thinking of You for we all can use an encouragement card.
To make the “Floating” part, you need to cut card stock (or designer series paper) into different heights. I cut each color at 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inches (each measuring 4 inches long).
I adhered Tear and Tape to the back of each and adhered to a window sheet that measured 3 3/4 x 3 1/2.
I cut off the excess card stock on the sides.
Once all that was done, I used the largest circle die to die-cut the window sheet.
I then added the Foam Adhesive Strips on the back (behind a color).
The flower is from the die set Forever Flourishing Dies which I think added a nice touch.
The sentiment is from the stamp set Beautiful Moments.
Again, thank you for stopping by. To continue to see more inspiration, click on the image below to see what Rochelle has made.
