Hello and I welcome you to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. The theme of this blog hop is to showcase products from the retiring Jan-Jun Mini Catalog( will be retiring June 30th). I chose the stamp set Happy Thoughts for my card.
I love the stamp set Happy Thoughts for not only does it have sentiments for the outside of your card but also for the inside. So sad to see it retire but it will be staying in my collection.
I made an Arrow Fun Fold card. I have seen many samples of this style card and thought it would be hard to make. Boy was I wrong – it is very easy to do.
The card base is made with Pear Pizzazz card stock and the Designer Series Paper is from the Expressions In Ink Specialty DSP. This designer series paper is beautiful. It has a combination of beautiful colors, patterns, and gold foiling.
I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the die cuts and stamped the sentiment both sentiments in Pear Pizzazz.
Measurements
Card base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
For the arrow:
on the 8 1/2 inch side – on your trimmer line the card base at 2 1/8 and make a small mark at the top and bottom
on the 5 1/2 inch side – on your trimmer line the card base at 2 3/4 and make a small mark
to make the score lines on the 5 1/2 inch side
(scoring pencil mark to pencil mark)
line both pencil marks in the groove ( 2 3/4 to the 2 1/8) for both sides
then score from the 2 3/4 to the score line (on both sides)
Designer Series Paper
5 1/4 x 4
make a pencil mark at the 2 5/8
(if using a directional dsp – turn the paper upside down)
Cut from the pencil mark to the corners
Basic white card stock – 5 1/4 x 4
