Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations April Blog Hop. I thank you for stopping by.
This month theme is Birthdays.
“Birthdays are a special time of year. They remind us that we’re growing older, but they also symbolize how far we’ve come. They’re a cause for celebration and a great excuse to show someone how much you appreciate them.”
For my project, I decided to make a Bay Window Card using the Whale Done stamp set and Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper.
This is the first time I have ever attempted to make this style card. Don’t know why I waited so long.
I used Balmy Blue card stock for the card base. Pacific Point for the matte panels.
I fussy cut the squid and sea turtle (on the sentiment) and punched out the whale using the Whale Builder punch.
The card fits into a regular size A2 envelope
Measurements:
Card Base: 4 1/4 x 11 – Score at 3/8, 1 7/8, 3 5/8, 5 1/8 and 5 1/2
Matte: 2 @ 1 3/8, 2 @ 1 5/8
long stripe – 2 @ 1/4 x 4 1/8
DSP: cut in order (flow of the picture) – 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 1/4, and 1 1/2
This card will be going to my grandson, Anthony, for his 17th birthday (with a some cash of course for his car).
I hope I have inspired you to make a Bay Window Card.
