Hello and welcome to my blog today.
I just can’t get enough of the stamp set Celebrate Sunflowers. Maybe because I am from Kansas? Or maybe that I have a sunflower in my logo?
Today’s card is a new style that is going around – it’s called a slim line card.
A Slim Line card measures 8 3/4 x 7 1/2. It will fit in a #10 size envelope or you can make your own envelope using one sheet of card stock.
I stamped the sunflowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. The Memento Ink is the recommended ink to use when coloring with Stampin’ Blends.
For the outline and lightly on the inside of the petals, I used Dark Mango Melody. To finish coloring the petals, I used Dark Daffodil Delight. Dark and Light Soft Suede was used for the inside of the sunflower and Dark and Light Old Olive for the leaves.
Just a little tip – stamp your sentiment first before you do all the coloring. Don’t ask me how I know this…lol.
Thick Whisper White card stock was used for the card base. I recommend Thick Whisper White card stock is you are going to make a card with a lot of layers on it. I stamped leaves on the Mango Melody card stock using Mango Melody ink.
A fellow Stampin Up Demonstrator and a very good friend, Mickey Moore (2MooreStampers) made a slim line card but with cookies. To check it out, click here.

I hope my card inspired you to make your own Slim Line card.
Thank you for stopping by.
