Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo August Blog Hop. Twenty-four Stampin Up demonstrators from around the world will share with you their creations using this month’s color combinations. August colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede. My project is a Stitched Nested labels box.
When I saw this month’s colors – I thought I make something with flowers. But then I am always making something with flowers…lol. So I decided to make a box and fill it with chocolate for someone’s birthday. Now who doesn’t like chocolate?
The inspiration for my Stitched Nested labels box comes from Intatwyne Designs from the UK. Her way of making this box was very easy and simple. You can check out her video here.
The lid is Whisper White Card Stock and the box is Mint Macaron. The balloons and small flowers are from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set. I could of used the stitched frame die from the die set, but I wanted my box to be a little bit bigger.
I stamped the balloons in Rich Razzleberry and the small flowers in Mint Macaron and Soft Suede.
I colored the three basic pearls with the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Here’s A Card stamp set. It is stamped in Mint Macaron ink.
I don’t know about you, but I would love to get a box like this full of chocolate. And after all the candy gone, you can use the box to store other items.
