Hello my friends,
This is my second card using the stamp set Accented Blooms. Have I said how much I love this stamp set? For my card, I used the Bleaching Technique. I am so happy with how this card turned out.
Here is a close up of the bleached flower
For the card base and panel, I used Night of Navy cardstock. The paper is from the new Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. This paper has delightfully floral flowery flowers which is perfect for creating a lasting impression (48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs – 6×6).
Stampin Up cardstock is great to use for the bleaching technique for it is a solid color all the way through. For this technique, I first embossed the image with White Embossing powder. Then I used an old dried up Blender pen and a small amount of bleach (I put the bleach in a small container) or you can use an Aqua Painter (fill with bleach). Make sure you mark the blender pen or aqua painter (I wrapped washi tape around mine). I then proceeded to “color” the areas I wanted to bleach. Let it dry.
The sentiment was punched out using the Tailored Tag punch and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up.
I hope you enjoyed this project and that you will try it.
Thank you for stopping by and as always, Happy Crafting
